District 9 Fall Forum September 26th, 2026

This will be hosted by the Pelham Garden Club at the Meridian Centre in Fonthill. There will be three speakers, and Design and Horticultural Competitions  

Theme: "The Healthy Gardener"

This event is open to all members of District 9 Horticultural Societies and Garden Clubs, and we encourage everyone to attend for a day of learning, fellowship, and fun. Whether you are a long-time member or new to your society, this forum offers something for everyone.

Schedule

• Doors Open & Registration: 8:30 a.m.
• Flower Show Entries in Place By: 9:45 a.m.
• Judging Begins: 10:00 a.m.
• Forum & Meeting Runs: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 

Admission: $20 per person (payable at the door)

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

This year's forum focuses on helping us stay healthy while enjoying the hobby we all love. We are excited to offer not just two, but three informative presentations:

 Safety in the Garden
 Gardening Without Injuring Ourselves
 The Mental Health Benefits of Gardening

In addition to these excellent speakers, we will have a brief business session, competition results, and the presentation of several District awards throughout the day.

The Competition Schedule and Entry Information are attached. We encourage all societies and members to participate in the competitions and flower show. Whether you are an experienced exhibitor or entering for the first time, we hope you will join in the fun and showcase your talents.

Please remember:

• Each District 9 Society or Garden Club is asked to bring a door prize valued at $20 or more.
• Additional Prize Table Tickets will be available for purchase: 1 sheet of 26 tickets for $10.
• Wear your most comfortable clothing and footwear and enjoy the programme.
• This event will be scent-free. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration of others.

We look forward to welcoming members from across District 9 for a wonderful day of education, inspiration, friendship, and celebration of gardening. Come prepared to learn, connect with fellow gardeners, and enjoy a day dedicated to becoming a healthier gardener.
